INNISFREE Green Tea Seed Serum

Recently I'm into skin care product but in contrary not so keen to review them out.

Why? Because it takes hundred hours of test and at least days to jot down the result and verdict. Somehow, let's discuss a bit about popular product from environment-concern brand from Korea; Innisfree. Innisfree is famous for their skin care product derived from natural ingredients and made to ensure the sustainability of the environment or so we called it 'eco-concern' product.

This product is labeled as 'one of Innisfree best seller' (not too exaggerate it) due to its moisturizing and nourishing ingredients which penetrates instantly into the skin and leaves a supple & smooth feeling behind.

Here's a full description taken from Innifree official english website here:

Yup, it seems Innisfree description already helps us to figure out the product, so I won't waste your time anymore *because I'm too lazy, lol* and proceed to take a look insight about the product's verdict.

Innisfree Green Tea line is focusing on moisturizing and nourishing your skin condition. In case you want to get fairer skin or postpone early aging/prevent wrinkles, you might check the other skin care line from Innisfree product.

Korean are known for crazily-obsessed-skin care addict due to high-expectation to be accepted within society; that's why 5 or 7-steps skin care regime is normal to keep your outlook fresh.

This Green Tea line, has 7 products sequence, it starts with Green Tea Seed Serum and respectively ends with Green Tea Pure Mineral Mist as seen on photo above.
Just a simple card-box packaging; an eco-concern minded concept to ensure the quality of the tube inside with brief information about the product written in Korean. The serum liquid itself has 80ml nett product encased in a plastic tube with pumped tip, by all means a thick plastic tube, I repeat, not a sturdy one. I found myself surprised with the quality of the tube, it looks slightly cheap comparing to glass tube like Laneige has. However, there's always the good side; it's travel friendly and handy for your travel companion. Bought it from @beautyglowing shop for IDR 250.000.
More details about the product's information (written in Korean).

A runny liquid products which penetrates quickly within 1 minute. The liquid texture is runny, absorbs quickly and leaves a subtle floral fragrance behind. If you're hesitate with fragrance-oriented product you might skip this product BUT the product's moisturizing and nourishing formula is too bad to be missed. It instantly gives you a supple and smooth skin without making it look greasy and damp like Hada Labo does. Just a single pump of the serum followed by rubbing movement against each palm to disperse the liquid with your own body heat and patting the product into your face. Your body heat helps to penetrate the ingredients deeply into epidermis layer.

My Verdict?
Haven't seen noticeable change from using this product since I randomly juggling it between Laneige serum and SK-II FTE. At least, Innisfree Green Tea Seed serum is a good product if you have sensitive skin like mine; never found any side-effect after applying this product and I love how it instantly leaves a supple and smooth skin behind within a minute. If you're looking for budget-worthy moisturizing product, you might try this product. Oh ya, it might be a good idea to apply it before applying your make-up to help moisten your skin and prep-up before applying your base make-up product. Barely forget to do it in the past but surely I will try it in the future.

Shiseido ANESSA Perfect Essence Sunscreen SPF50+ PA++++

It's one of those days when Sunscreen is often forgotten.

Wearing sunscreen can be burdensome for some people; some find it inefficient and annoying yet religiously wearing sunscreen will help to prevent your skin from unwanted aging signs. Repeat after me: sunscreen will protect your skin from unwanted and unseen UV rays exposure which will destroy your skin condition in the future. By ignoring the tiresome practice of wearing sunscreen, your future self will thank you for all the effort you have done in the past. One day, one of our Korean office  mate gave us a gift which turns out as, to my surprise, one of Japanese infamous Shiseido Anessa Sunscreen! For far-east Asian people, wearing sunscreen is a must-do since they are beyond concern when walking about their skin condition. So, what's this infamous sunscreen does?

  • Essence Jelly-type
  • Can be used as a makeup base
  • Suitable for face and body
  • Moisture essence & treatment for UV-induced damaged skin. Dewy essence gel cream treat skin beautiful.
- Protect from various types of UV rays, including UV-A, UV-B, and transmitting UV Rays (UV-A with particularly long wavelengths).
- "Stamina" Technology prevents the formula from deteriorating under intense light
- Treatment effects on UV-induced damaged skin. Moisturize dehydrated skin and keep skin smooth with:
  1. Bulgarian Rose G (moisturizer) (Rose Water + Chestnut rose extract - provence rose extract)
  2. Hyaluronic acid GL (Sodium Hyaluronate + glycerin [moisturizer] and Aquainpool (ingredient that infuses moisture into the stratum corneum)
- Dewy moisturizing essence featuring an airy feel with no stress on the skin that melts on your skin.

*SPF is an index of the level of skin protection from UVB rays (which causes reddening, inflammation and darkening with short-term exposure)
*PA is an indication of the level of skin from UVA rays (which causes temporary darkening and after long-term exposure, a loss of skin elasticity)
*The indicated sun protection level was measured by the quantity of 2mg per 1 square centimeter in conformity with the authorized Sun Protector Factor Test Method.

1.Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, immediately rinse eyes with cool or lukewarm water.
2. Wipe the mouth of the container completely and replace the cap firmly after use.
3. Flammable. Keep away from fire.
4. Store away from direct sunlight and high temperatures.
5. If contact with clothes occurs, wash immediately with detergent. When washing clothing avoid chlorine bleaching agents it may change color.
6. Do not stay too long in the sun while using a sunscreen product.
7. Re-apply frequently to maintain protection, especially after sweating, swimming or toweling.
Dermatologist tested.

How to use:
- Apply directly to the body in a straight line, then spread evenly with palm using large circular motions. For face and neck areas, apply the appropriate amount on palm, spreading on thoroughly and evenly .
- Reducing the quantity applied will lower the level of protection significantly.
- To remove, rinse off thoroughly using daily cleanser.

The description written above (taken from the box) is fair enough to explain the product's information. It turns out this jelly-like sunscreen has 3 different sizes: 25gr, 60gr, 90gr (limited edition) and mine is repackaged version from the previous 2014 version. Anessa product offers a water-resistant, jelly-like texture cream and doesn't leave white-streak or mark upon application. Feels smooth and hydrating without making it (noticeable) sticky feeling behind. I utterly write 'noticeable' to make it clear that based on my past 2 weeks personal experience wearing this sunscreen, it turns out the product's formula is surprisingly difficult to blend well with my foundation. It gives the foundation finish more greasy, bit oily and lessen the coverage power than the usual application does.

However, this sunscreen blends and absorbs quickly when applied onto the skin while it takes no waiting time after you slather it into the skin.Yes, it feels light weight and doesn't feel sticky unless you try to blend it your foundation. Doesn't leaves white-mark behind and water resistant, suitable for both indoor or outdoor activity. A close-up swatch shown below.

The cream is encased in a flattened compact plastic-tube with twisted pointy tip to control the dispensed  amount required and decorated with typical Anessa's sun trade mark.

My Verdict?
No wonder this sunscreen becomes the best-selling and popular sunscreen both in Japan and Korea; this light-weight and non-sticky sunscreen gives you maximum protection without those inconvenient and sticky finish feeling like other sunscreen does. Too bad this sunscreen doesn't blend well with my foundation; it creates greasy, oilier finish and lessen coverage formula of the foundation rather than when the foundation is applied alone. If you want to blend this sunscreen together with foundation, I suggest you to leave it absorbs well for more 10-15 minutes to let the formula sink deeper to the epidermis layer then continue wearing your foundation as usual.
